The Legislature of the State of Mississippi has in MCA 1972, Title 17, Chapter 1, delegated the responsibility to local government units to adopt regulations designed
to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of its citizenry. Therefore,
the mayor and board of alderman of the city does hereby adopt the following floodplain
management regulations.
